The Musical Body Winter Retreat 2018
An immersion exploring the spaces between life and music.
"What a beautiful, heartfelt and inspiring [experience]. I felt I got to express my uniqueness within a group, where we held each other's differences and desires through sound. What a wondrous delight!" (Amber Harris)
The Musical Body provides a delectable opportunity to come alive through voice in a community of musical play. Through this process we connect with body, voice, imagination, musicality & people through a multi-faceted responsive & emergent process. In workshops there is a core focus on connecting to and enjoying the nuances of co-created vocal improvisation. The group co-creates and witnesses each other’s responses and shared experiences which then informs our musical creations and inquiries. The Musical Body is perfect for experienced and aspiring singers alike and takes place in weekly classes, weekend workshops, residential retreats, private sessions along with tailor made workshops for organisations and community groups and events.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
“Charlotte’s work is essential for the beginner through to the professional musician…..it has equipped me with tools around presence, belief and healing through my music” (Liana Pearl, Musician, Vocalist, Harpist and Music Therapist in training)
"I 100% recommend this to everyone. I just did a 2 day workshop exploring voice, improvisation, feeling and relationships. I was inspired, guided and encouraged by Charlotte to express myself in a way I didn't know I could. We had fun as we played with our voices and connected with each other." (Jill Sullivan, Traveller and Nurse)
"This was an experience which brought me many times to a deep, full place of appreciation. It reminded me of what a joy it is to be alive by putting me right in the middle of the blissful peace, happiness, enthusiasm and well-being which exists within us all. Playful, ecstatic, inclusive. Charlotte Roberts is a magical person, a rare and precious genius." (William Thompson, guitarist, music teacher, potter and musician)
“Expect the beauty of organic unexpected when working with Charlotte. She holds the creative, improvised space with sensitivity, joy and care whilst gently easing your natural voice instincts into a state of warm radiance. Charlotte’s natural ability to invite, gather and include peoples is soul enriching; you feel earthed and light at the same time. I have witnessed Charlotte create with everyone from babies to wise folk and everything in between… age is no barrier – everyone has a voice…" Caitlin Brown
