Targa High Country becomes the final round of the new CAMS Australian Targa Championship in 2018 with the event going `Back to the Future’ later this year.
A combination of increasing challenges on the available roads around Euroa in relation to average speeds and general road conditions, along with a large amount of comments being provided via the competitor survey as to their vision for the event, we have made the decision to drop the Friday leg to Euroa and revert the event back to its original two day format used from its inception in 2010 until 2014.
The two runs up the fantastic Mt. Buller (one on each day) will remain a key feature of the event along with the second longest Targa stage in the country between Jamieson and Eildon on the Sunday.
There are many more exciting innovations to be announced for the 9th running of Targa High Country as we get ever closer to the 10th Anniversary in 2019 of Australia’s second largest tarmac rally.
